Founder’s Message

“Adhiguru Arakkattalai” (Adhiguru Charitable Trust)

My father, Jameedhar K. A. Dharmalingam, was the first person who, in 1982, declared the intention to establish the world’s largest statue of Lord Mundhi Vinayagar at Puliyakulam.

Following his announcement, a Thiruppani (Temple Renovation) Committee was formed, and the construction work began. The first statue unfortunately broke during the process, and later, even the second statue was also damaged. Yet, without losing faith or courage, my father continued his devoted efforts and successfully established the third statue, which was consecrated on 25 January 1998 by Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

My father, belonging to the traditional Jameedhar lineage, served as the Honorary President of the Thiruppani Committee. Out of his deep commitment to public welfare, spiritual service, and dharmic activities, he wished to create a charitable trust to continue these noble services.

However, before he could fulfill this dream, he attained mukthi (passed away) on 1 February 2014. As per his wishes, I, Jameedhar T. Thirumurugan, established the Adhiguru Arakkattalai on 20 June 2019, taking the role of Founder and President.

Since that day, the Dharmic and spiritual service initiatives envisioned by my father have been continued through this Trust.

Since the Establishment

Since the establishment of the Adhiguru Charitable Trust on 20 June 2019, the Trust has been continuously engaged in various social, spiritual, and welfare activities:

  • During the National Disaster – COVID-19 Pandemic: The Trust distributed Nilavembu Kasayam (a traditional herbal drink) to help improve immunity and protect people from the spread of the virus.
  • For the Well-being and Longevity of the People: Maha Yagnas were conducted in various temples across Tamil Nadu for public welfare and health.
  • Temple Renovation Work: A 60-year-old Shiva temple was renovated, a new Nandi idol consecrated, and grand Annadhanam organized.
  • Daily Annadhanam Project – “Annasurabhi”: For over two and a half years, daily meals have been provided to 200 patients at Coimbatore Government Hospital.
  • Large-Scale Temple Events: During Perur and Marudhamalai Temple Kumbabishekams and the Vaikunta Ekadasi Car Festival in Karamadai, Annadhanam was served to over 12,000 devotees in total.
  • Support for Amarnath Pilgrimage Annadhanam: The Trust donated rice, groceries, and essentials to the Amarnath Panilinga Annadhanam Committee.

Upcoming Dharma and Service Initiatives of the Adhiguru Charitable Trust

The Adhiguru Charitable Trust has planned several noble and dharmic service projects to be undertaken in the near future:

1️⃣ Agathiyar Dharma Hospital
A hospital named “Agathiyar Dharma Hospital” will be established to provide free traditional medical treatments to the public — including Siddha, Ayurvedic, Acupuncture, and Acupressure therapies — thereby reviving and promoting our ancient systems of healing.

2️⃣ Adhiguru Dharma Matriculation School
The Trust will start “Adhiguru Dharma English School” to offer free Matriculation education along with midday meals to deserving boys and girls, ensuring quality education for underprivileged students.

3️⃣ “Iyarkkaiyodu Naam” (We and Nature) Project
Under the project titled “Iyarkkaiyodu Naam”, the Trust aims to distribute 1 crore saplings across Tamil Nadu. Through the initiative “One Tree for Every Home”, each household will receive a sapling to nurture. The Trust will also organize nationwide tree plantation drives to promote environmental harmony.

4️⃣ “Anbodu Aram Sei” (Serve with Love) Project
This program will provide monthly financial assistance to poor, needy, and elderly individuals, ensuring that senior citizens live with dignity and care.

5️⃣ Thirunandhithevar Gosala (Cattle Shelter)
A “Thirunandhithevar Gosala” will be established to rescue and protect thousands of cows that would otherwise be sent for slaughter, offering them shelter, food, and care.
